If you are experiencing issues with your Chromebook, it might need an update. Unless it is during times of testing or a known issue, we allow updates to Chromebooks automatically as well as manual updates.
To update your Chromebook, either log in or select *Browse as Guest. The latter option is best for when you have login issues and can't get logged into the chromebook, even when wifi is working.
* Student Chromebooks don't have this option (during a regular school year) so you might need to put in a ticket if you have exhausted other options.
Once you are logged in or in as a guest, click the bottom right corner where the time is and choose the Settings Icon.
In the window that pops up, choose the pancake stack in the top left corner (three lines) and scroll down to choose About ChromeOS
Now you can choose Check for Updates. Once it is finished, it will ask for a reboot. After rebooting, you are up to date.
